2003/11/15 - FOR MY PAIN... SIGNED ENDORSEMENT DEAL

The Finnish gothic metal band For My Pain... has signed an endorsement deal with the Amfisound guitar factory. Amfisound makes high quality hand made instruments and is going to concentrate on metal scene even more in the future. The factory is located in Haukipudas, near the capital of Finnish metal music - the city of Oulu. Altti Vetelainen, Lauri Tuohimaa and Olli-Pekka Torro will receive their own signature custom models, which are completely based on their requirements. 2003/11/05 - “END OF INNOCENCE”DVD

NightwishのDVD“End Of Innocence”が、発売1週間でドイツの公式アルバムチャートに入りました。DVDのランク方式が変わったためアルバムチャートにも入るようになったのです。“EOI”はアルバムチャート62位、DVDチャート2位を記録しました。

Nightwish's DVD "End Of Innocence" has hit the official german album charts in the first week after its release. Changed rules now allow music DVDs to enter the album charts. "EOI" made it to #62 in the album charts and #2 in the DVD charts.

2003/10/23 - NIGHTWISH BOX-SETS

Spinefarm Recordsは、Nightwishのボックスセット3作品を11月に発売します。その理由は、中央ヨーロッパで違法なボックスセットが入手できるためです。このボックスセットは短い期間で一般に入手できるようになり、それと同時に、ファンの皆さんは違法業者ではなくバンドをサポートできることになるはずです。正規ボックスセットはスペシャルグッズとしてバンドメンバーの写真も入る予定です。

Spinefarm Records will release three Nightwish box-sets in November. The reason is the existence of illegal boxsets in central Europe. Those boxes are spreading quickly and something has to be done so that fans can support the band and not the pirates. The legal boxes will also contain photos of the bandmembers as a special goodie. 2003/09/29 - Nightwish、ニューアルバム製作開始

Nightwishは新作に向けて作業を始めました。バンドはスタジオにこもっておよそ1ヶ月の間新アルバムの曲を練習・編曲します。現在は新曲13曲とカバー1曲をFinnvaxとCaverockというスタジオでレコーディングする予定になっています。スタジオ日記もこのサイトでお伝えする予定です。

NIGHTWISH STARTS MAKING THE NEW ALBUM

Nightwish starts practising their forth-coming album. Band will lock themselves at the studio where they'll spend about a month practising and arranging the songs for the new album. They've planned of getting 13 new songs and 1 cover ready to be recorded in Finnvox and Caverock studios. There will be studio-diary released from the studio-session on this site.

Lately there has been many payments made by stolen credit card -information. This has forced us to make some arrangements to prevent these unpleasant and VERY EXPENSIVE(!!!) crimes. From now on there can't be made orders from one country and then payment from the other. In most of the crimes the order has been made from example Singapore and the payment example from the USA with the stolen credit card -information. In cases like this it's Nightwish -Shop that has to pay the money back to the cards owners and the criminal gets the products.

Century Media Records have licensed Nightwish's "Century Child" album for a North American release on September 23rd.

Tarja Turunen gets married. Tarja said that her relationship to a man from "overseas" got sealed in the end of 2002. She is going to arrange a summer-wedding in Finland this summer.
Tarja also told in other news that she is going to move back to Finland this summer.

Nightwish's album "Century Child" has sold double Platinum in Finland. Congratulations on 60.000 sold copies!

Jukka and his girlfriend Satu got their first child 11.3.2003 at 5.20 am. Soon after child was born it was identified to be she. Jukka said that there were many things that lead to this conclusion. One of them were her very enchanting and feminine cry. =) Her name is Luna, she weights 3545 g and she is 52 cm tall.

Nightwish has won two awards in tonight's Emma gala. They were awarded an Emma for Best Finnish Band and received the Export Emma.

Nightwish Century Child -album was second most sold Finnish album in Finland in year 2002. It sold 59000 copies. When taking foreign album into acount Century Child was still in fifth place. Nightwish thanks everybody who bought the album!!!

Nightwish is nominated in three categories for EMMA (Annual Finnish Music Award). Nightwish has been nominated as Best Band, Best Hardrock/Metal-album and Best Finnish Artist. Finnish TV2 will broadcast the event live 8th March at 19 P.M.

2003/01/23

Nightwish has booked studio for recording their fifth album. Recording session will start in November 2003. Album is planned to release in spring 2004.

Nightwish had a great success in annual-readers-poll in Finnish Soundi magazine. Categories (and ranking): Best Finnish Rockband(1), Best Finnish Band(3), Best Finnish Album(4), Best Finnish Song(Bless The Child)(5). Best Rockband -category was mentioned as a biggest poll of all times for defining best Finnish Rockband. Over 100 bands got votes and Nightwish was the winner.
